The 438P is a manual-winding ultra-thin caliber from Piaget, belonging to the 400P family of in-house movements. It continues Piaget's legacy of exceptionally thin mechanical movements, a tradition established with the legendary 12P automatic of 1960. The movement is produced in-house and remains in production. Notable examples include the Piaget Altiplano 38mm 900P, which pairs this caliber with an exposed caseback design showcasing the finishing.
