Cal. 8501 is an automatic movement manufactured by OMEGA. Introduced in 2008, it is the Sedna gold variant of the 8500 caliber, belonging to the 85xx family. As part of OMEGA's in-house movement family, it features co-axial escapement technology. This movement was used in select Seamaster and Constellation models. Production has been discontinued.
