Omega's caliber 1611 is a hybrid analog-digital quartz movement developed in-house. Introduced in 1976, it was used in the Seamaster Chrono-Quartz reference 196.00.52. The movement combines a conventional analog display for hours, minutes, and small seconds with digital displays for chronograph and date functions. A single quartz resonator drives both the analog and digital sections.
