The Miyota 9U13 is a thin quartz movement assembled in Japan. It features a central seconds hand with sweep motion and uses a quartz crystal for regulation, requiring no jewels. The movement includes a low battery indicator where the seconds hand steps every two seconds when power is low. It runs on an SR916SW cell providing approximately four years of battery life, with accuracy rated at +/-20 seconds per month.
