Miyota

Miyota is a Japanese watch movement manufacturer and a subsidiary of Citizen Watch Co., Ltd. Founded in 1959 in the town of Miyota, Nagano Prefecture, it has grown to become one of the world's largest producers of watch movements. Miyota produces both mechanical and quartz movements used by countless watch brands globally, from entry-level to premium microbrands. Their movements, particularly the 8215 and 9015 calibers, are known for reliability, affordability, and workhorse performance. The company opened a large movement assembly factory in Saku in 2016.
