Miyota 82S6

The Miyota 82S6 is an automatic movement manufactured in Japan with hacking seconds and Parashock shock protection. It is functionally identical to the Caliber 82S0, which Miyota supplies to brands outside Citizen. Bulova uses this movement in several of its models, some featuring an exposed balance wheel at 7:00 and others with solid dials. The reason for the different caliber numbering remains unclear, as there is no apparent difference in finishing between the two versions.
