The ETA SA caliber 8173 is a multi-function quartz movement featuring GMT, alarm, day, date, and power reserve indicator complications. It contains 9 jewels and uses a 395/399 battery cell providing approximately 39 months of operation, reduced to around 35 months with regular alarm use. The movement is manufactured in Switzerland and assembled by ISA in both Swiss Made and Far East variants.
