ETA SA 8172

The caliber 8172 is a quartz chronograph movement with day and date displays, manufactured by ETA SA. It operates at 395 jewels and uses an SR927SW battery. A distinctive feature is the chronograph seconds hand's slow sweeping return to zero. The movement also includes a low battery indicator that causes the seconds hand to jump every two seconds when the battery is low. Production ceased when ISASWISS closed in 2016. The movement is found in watches such as the Swiss Legend Neptune Chronograph.
