The T1001 is a manual-winding tourbillon movement developed by Japanese independent watchmaker Hajime Asaoka. Operating at 18,000 vph (2.5 Hz) with a 40-hour power reserve, it features 17 jewels and an Art Deco-inspired design with the tourbillon positioned at 9 o'clock. Introduced in 2009, it was Japan's first in-house tourbillon wristwatch movement, built from scratch by the self-taught watchmaker. Production remains limited.
