Grand Seiko 9S61

Caliber 9S61 is an automatic movement manufactured by Grand Seiko. Based on the 9S65, it was designed for the purist who values simplicity—a three-hand display with no complications or additional distractions. The movement incorporates MEMS technology for its escapement components, a manufacturing approach Seiko developed to achieve high precision in mechanical watchmaking. It remains in production and serves as the base movement for several Grand Seiko timepieces in the Heritage collection.
