Family: Elgin Railroad21/23 jewels
The Veritas is a manual-winding movement manufactured by Elgin in 1890. It was produced in two grades: the 23-jewel No. 214 open-face and the 21-jewel No. 239. As part of Elgin's Railroad family, the movement received temperature, position, and isochronism adjustments for timekeeping accuracy. Production has been discontinued.
