Family: Elgin Railroad
The B.W. Raymond is a manual-winding movement introduced by Elgin in 1870 as the company's first production caliber. It features 15 to 21 jewels, key-wind operation, and an 18-size pocket watch format with a quick train escapement. The movement earned railroad-grade accuracy certification, reflecting Elgin's focus on precision timekeeping. It was produced as Grade 70 and remained in production until discontinued.
