The Alpina caliber 592 is a vintage manual-wind mechanical movement produced in the 1930s – 1950s/60s. It has Incabloc anti-shock protection. In 1948, the school of watchmaking at the cantonal polytechnic in Biel chose the 12-ligne hand-wound Alpina caliber 592 to serve as the school's didactic caliber, underscoring its precision, reliability and robustness.
