ActivePorsche Design is a German design brand whose Swiss watchmaking operation produces mechanical chronographs, including configurable models and the Chronograph 1.
Ferdinand Alexander Porsche founded Porsche Design in 1972, the year of its first timepiece. Porsche AG acquired a shareholding in 2003 and made the Porsche Design Group a wholly owned subsidiary in 2017. After earlier watch-production partnerships, Porsche Design Timepieces AG was established in Solothurn in 2014. In March 2026, its watchmaking operation opened a new facility in Grenchen, consolidating development, assembly, quality management and after-sales work. The brand's WERK chronograph movements are developed to Porsche Design specifications; specialist reporting identifies Concepto as the manufacturer of the WERK 01.140. Owned watch assembly does not establish complete in-house movement production.
