MINASE is a Japanese luxury watch manufacture born from Kyowa Co., Ltd., a precision cutting tool manufacturer. Renowned for exceptional case finishing and polishing techniques, MINASE creates ultra-three-dimensional watch designs that showcase the pinnacle of Japanese monozukuri craftsmanship. Each watch features hand-crafted components with intricate Sallaz polishing that can take 90 minutes per part.
MINASE's origins trace back to 1963 when Koichi Suzuki founded Kyowa Co., Ltd. as a cutting tool manufacturer in Tokyo. The company's innovative step drills for machining watch case crown holes caught the attention of watch manufacturers in 1964. By 1973, Kyowa built a factory in Yuzawa, Akita and began manufacturing watch cases. The subsidiary Poria Precision Co., Ltd. (now the Minase Factory) was established in 1988 for premium watch case production. After starting OEM finished watch business in 1993, Kyowa began developing its own brand in 2001. In 2005, the MINASE brand officially launched with the GREADY (M1) and Master Craft M2 series. The HiZ series debuted in 2011, followed by the iconic DIVIDO in 2013. European expansion began in 2017, and in 2014, Tsuyoshi Suzuki became the second president, continuing the family legacy.
