Baltic

Baltic was founded in 2016 by Etienne Malec, whose passion for watchmaking began when he discovered his late father's watch collection. The brand name honors his father's Polish heritage, referring to roots on the northern coast of Poland. Malec immersed himself in his father's meticulously kept watch diary, which chronicled every timepiece that crossed his path. Baltic launched its first watches in 2017 through a successful Kickstarter campaign. Components are manufactured in Hong Kong, then shipped to the brand's atelier in Besançon, France for assembly and adjustment. Accessories are produced in Italy. The brand operates primarily through direct-to-consumer sales, removing traditional industry margins. Baltic opened its flagship boutique at 20 rue Danielle Casanova, Paris in 2023.
