The Rolex Lady-Datejust 28 mm, reference 279381RBR-0017, comes in a 28 mm case of steel and gold. The bezel is diamond-set, and the case pairs with a matching steel and gold bracelet fitted with a concealed folding Crownclasp. A sapphire crystal with a Cyclops lens sits over the date, and the chocolate dial is driven by the self-winding calibre 2236, a Rolex manufacture movement with a power reserve of about 55 hours. This is a chronometer, certified for accuracy after casing, and the dial layout adds a central seconds hand alongside the date display. The screw-down crown forms part of the case's waterproofing system. It stays water resistant to a depth of 100 metres.
