Rolex Datejust 31, reference 278278-0036, cased in 18 ct yellow gold at 31 mm. The fluted bezel is a Rolex signature and gives the case a faceted edge. Behind the scratch-resistant sapphire crystal, fitted with a Cyclops lens over the date, sits a dark grey dial set with diamonds. The self-winding calibre 2236 drives the watch, a chronometer-certified movement with a power reserve of about 55 hours. Central seconds and a date function round out the display, and the screw-down crown adds a layer of protection at the case. This is a dress watch built for daily wear, on a President bracelet in yellow gold closed by a concealed folding Crownclasp. The screw-down crown also helps hold the case to its 100 metre water resistance rating.
