Rolex Datejust 31 mm, reference 278241-0019, measures 31 mm across in steel and gold. The case has a domed bezel and a screw-down crown, and the aubergine dial, set with diamonds, sits under a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal with a Cyclops lens over the date. Inside is the self-winding calibre 2236, a Superlative Chronometer with a power reserve of approximately 55 hours. The dial shows a date display and central seconds, and this is a chronometer in the fullest Rolex sense, certified after casing. Diamonds also mark the dial's large VI. The steel and gold bracelet closes with a folding Oysterclasp fitted with the Easylink comfort extension link. It stays water resistant to a depth of 100 metres.
