The domed bezel and Cyclops lens over the date give the profile its familiar Datejust silhouette, and the dial sits under a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal. Inside is the calibre 2236, a self-winding movement with a Syloxi hairspring and a power reserve of approximately 55 hours. Rolex certifies the watch as a chronometer. The slate dial shows a central seconds hand and a date display, and the crown is a screw-down type. A steel and gold bracelet closes with a concealed folding Crownclasp.
