The Longines Master Collection Chronograph, reference L2.859.4.78.6, is a chronograph with a 44 mm round case in steel. The silver barleycorn dial has painted Arabic numerals and blued steel hands. The case measures 14.4 mm thick and 51.8 mm lug-to-lug, with water resistance rated to 30 metres. Self-winding calibre L688.5 provides up to 60 hours of power reserve and is visible through a transparent case back. A scratch-resistant sapphire crystal covers the dial. The dial includes a date display and small seconds. A steel bracelet closes with a triple safety folding clasp and a push-piece opening mechanism.
