The IWC Schaffhausen Portofino Automatic Moon Phase, reference IW459401, has a stainless steel case measuring 40 mm across and 11.1 mm thick. A silver dial sits behind a convex sapphire crystal with antireflective coating on both sides. The self-winding calibre 35800 drives the watch, offering a power reserve of 50 hours. Central seconds and a moon phase display round out the dial functions. IWC Schaffhausen rates the case to 30 metres. The watch is fitted with a dark brown alligator leather strap, sized at 20 mm at the lugs. This is the first Portofino model of this diameter to carry the complication.
