The IWC Schaffhausen Portofino Automatic Moon Phase 37 Year of the Snake, reference IW459604, comes in a 37.1 mm steel case. The case measures 11.3 mm thick, and the case carries a 50 metre water resistance rating. An IWC-manufactured automatic movement, calibre 32800, drives the watch and holds a power reserve of 120 hours. The red dial sits under a convex sapphire crystal with antireflective coating on both sides. A display back reveals the movement, including a rotor cast in 18-carat 5N gold and shaped like a snake. The watch combines central seconds with a moon phase display. It is fitted to a black calfskin strap with a quick-change system.
