Cartier Tank Américaine

Cartier's Tank Américaine, reference WJTA0042, is a small model with a 19.4 x 35.4 mm case in 18K rose gold. The rectangular case is 6.8 mm thick. A sapphire crystal covers the silvered satin-brushed dial, which carries blued-steel sword-shaped hands. The watch displays hours and minutes and runs on a quartz movement. The case and the faceted crown are set with 33 brilliant-cut diamonds totalling 0.96 carats. Cartier rates the case to 30 metres. A shiny red alligator-skin strap is fitted to the watch. The buckle is an 18K rose gold ardillon.
