Cartier's Tank Américaine, reference WGTA0297, is a large model in a 24.4 x 44.4 mm platinum case. The case is 8.6 mm thick and has a sapphire crystal. Cartier rates the case to 30 metres. The movement is a self-winding mechanical type with a 39 hour power reserve. The watch shows hours and minutes. The faceted crown is set with a faceted ruby. The salmon-coloured dial has art deco animation, and the sword-shaped hands are rhodium-finish steel. A semi-matte burgundy alligator leather strap is fitted with an interchangeable white gold folding buckle.
