Cartier Tank Américaine reference WGTA0296 has a platinum 950/1000 case measuring 24.4 x 44.4 mm. The case is 8.6 mm thick. The large model runs on a self-winding mechanical movement with a 39 hour power reserve. A sapphire crystal covers the grained dial, which has an eggshell finish. Sword-shaped silvered steel hands show the hours and minutes. The faceted crown is set with a faceted ruby. Cartier rates the case to 30 metres. A semi-matte burgundy alligator leather strap is fitted to the watch, with an interchangeable white gold 750/1000 folding buckle.
