Breguet's Tradition Seconde Rétrograde 7097BB/G1/9WU is a 40 mm white gold watch with an architecture that puts the movement on display where a dial would usually sit. The case measures 11.8 mm thick, with lugs set 21 mm apart, and a sapphire crystal covers the front. The self-winding calibre 505SR1 offers 50 hours of power reserve, and its bridges, wheels and escapement sit exposed on the main plate rather than hidden beneath a dial. Small seconds appear off-centre at 10 o'clock via a retrograde hand, and the remaining silvered dial surface is worked in hand-guilloché. A sapphire caseback shows the finishing from behind. Fitted to an alligator strap with a white gold pin buckle, the case carries a modest 30 metre water resistance rating.
