Breguet's Reine de Naples Sonnerie 8978, reference 8978BB/58/974, has an oval white gold case measuring 38.5 mm in height. The case measures 12.2 mm thick and carries a lug width of 17 mm. Inside is the self-winding calibre 78SO, a movement developed and hand-finished by the Breguet Manufacture, offering 70 hours of power reserve and visible through a sapphire display back. The mother-of-pearl dial sits under a sapphire crystal and shows a central seconds hand. The chiming clock mechanism strikes the hour audibly, a passing strike housed within the movement itself. The watch is set with diamonds and closes on an alligator leather strap with a white gold folding clasp. Water resistance is rated to 30 metres.
