The Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Selfwinding 15500ST.OO.1220ST.03 is a 41 mm steel watch with a black dial. The case measures 10.4 mm thick and carries a sapphire crystal. Inside is the self-winding calibre 4302, displaying hours, minutes and centre seconds alongside a date function set further from the dial's centre than on earlier references. The indexes on this dial are wider than before, and a printed minute train runs along the outer edge. A steel bracelet closes with an AP folding clasp. The case holds a 50 metre water resistance rating.
