Seiko 5M43A

The 5M43A is a Japanese-made Seiko kinetic quartz movement with a day-date calendar. It features quickset date functionality and generates power through rotor movement, storing the charge in a capacitor. A low battery indicator alerts the wearer by skipping the seconds hand every two seconds, providing a 24-hour warning before the capacitor needs recharging. The movement is in-house and remains in production.
