The PUW 73 is a manual-winding pocket watch caliber manufactured by Pforzheimer Uhrenwerke (PUW) from 1898 to 1903. It measures 5¾ × 7 lignes as an open-face model 7, operates at 18,000 vph, and features 17 jewels with KIF Trior Monorex shock protection. The movement includes a bimetallic screw balance with Breguet hairspring and a negative stem mechanism that allows switching between winding and setting via crown or lever. It displays small seconds and remains a collectible vintage caliber from the German watchmaking period.
