Family: L990
The Longines L990 is an in-house automatic movement introduced in 1977, representing the last entirely in-house automatic caliber produced by the Longines manufacture. At just 2.95mm thick, it was the world's thinnest automatic movement at launch, achieving this profile by coupling two barrels in series. The caliber was discontinued but lives on through variations including L989 (Hour Angle) and L992/L993 (date-less variants).
