Caliber L688.2 is an in-house automatic column-wheel chronograph movement manufactured by Longines in Switzerland, based on the ETA A08.L01. Operating at 28,800 vph with a 54-hour power reserve, it features a date complication and hacking seconds mechanism with Nivachoc shock protection. Unlike the L688.4 variant, the L688.2 lacks COSC chronometer certification and does not include a silicon balance spring. The movement powered numerous Longines chronographs in a tri-compax layout before being discontinued.
