The IWC Cal. 97 is a manual-winding in-house movement launched in 1945 as part of the 9x caliber family. It evolved from the pocket watch Cal. 67 (lépine) and features ruby bearings, a slotted bimetallic balance, and a swan-neck regulator for precise rate adjustment. The movement was discontinued in 1958.
