Family: Veri-Thin
The Gruen 290 is a manual-winding movement from the Veri-Thin family, measuring 5½ lignes. It features small seconds display at 6 o'clock and is wound via a crown mechanism. The movement was produced in-house by Gruen and incorporates a pin-lever escapement. It was used primarily in dress watches during the 1950s and is now discontinued.
