The Ebel caliber 157 is a Swiss-made round quartz movement with 4 jewels, powered by a battery. It was produced through the Compagnie Ebel Cartier (CEC) joint venture and used in ladies models from both Ebel and Cartier. Unlike High Accuracy Quartz (HAQ) calibers, the 157 was designed with cost efficiency in mind while offering higher quality finishing than typical quartz movements. The movement shares similarities with the Ebel caliber 057, though that variant uses an oval or tonneau shape.
