The AP 2121 is an automatic movement introduced in 1972 as the original caliber for the Royal Oak. Measuring just 3.05mm in thickness, it is based on the Jaeger-LeCoultre 920 and offers a 40-hour power reserve with 36 jewels. While not manufactured in-house by Audemars Piguet, the movement powered the landmark Royal Oak ref. 5402 and remains historically significant as the first movement designed for Gerald Genta's iconic integrated-bracelet watch. Production has been discontinued.
