The A. Schild AS 1702/03 is a manual-winding movement manufactured in Switzerland by A. Schild SA. Part of the company's 17XX family, it was sold as an ebauche—unfinished movement blank supplied to various watchmakers. The AS 1703 variant features a date complication at 3:00, while the AS 1702 is a no-date version; both include Incabloc shock protection. The movement powered watches from brands including EDOX, Rotary, Titoni, and RADO during the 1960s and 1970s. A. Schild merged with ETA in the late 1970s during the quartz crisis.
