San Martin is a leading Chinese microbrand known for producing high-quality mechanical watches at affordable prices. San Martin was founded in 2016 by Mr. Liao JiaMing, a watch enthusiast who transitioned into watchmaking. The brand began in Zhongshan, Guangdong Province with just three team members. The founder spent half a year learning the watchmaking process directly in factories, studying everything from case processing to hands and dial manufacturing. By the end of 2016, San Martin completed its first bronze diving watch, which received strong support from domestic watch forums. In 2017, the company relocated to Dongguan City to be closer to more watch production facilities and to recruit senior watch engineers. The brand partnered with Chongqing University Watch Design Institute for development and design. In 2018, San Martin produced China's first domestically-branded Damascus steel watch. The company launched its official online store in June 2019. Today, San Martin has developed dozens of watch models and holds 8 independent design patents plus 2 practical patents for watch structure innovations.
