MING

Founded in 2017 by Ming Thein, a photographer, designer, and watch collector, along with five fellow enthusiasts drawn from over 80 years of combined collecting experience. The idea for the brand was conceived in 2014 during a flight from a watch exhibition. MING debuted with the 17.01, a time-only piece in Grade 5 titanium that established the brand's hallmarks: flared lugs, layered dials, and luminous elements etched into sapphire crystal. The brand quickly gained recognition for its innovative approach, winning the Horological Revelation Prize at the 2019 Grand Prix d'Horlogerie de Genève. MING has since developed proprietary technologies through its Special Projects Cave, including Mosaic (internal 3D structures in sapphire crystal), Hyceram (ceramic-fused luminous material), and the world's lightest production mechanical watch using magnesium alloy.
