Coach is an American luxury fashion house known primarily for leather goods, handbags, and accessories. The brand offers fashion watches through a licensing agreement with Movado Group, featuring quartz timepieces that reflect the brand's signature aesthetic with leather straps and classic American styling.
Coach was founded in 1941 as a family-run workshop in a loft on 34th Street in Manhattan, with six leather-workers making wallets and billfolds by hand. Miles and Lillian Cahn joined in 1946 and took over the company by 1950, developing innovative leather treatment processes that made their products softer and more durable. The Cahns sold Coach to Sara Lee Corporation in 1985 for $30 million. Coach became a public company in 2000, and in 2017, Coach Inc. was renamed Tapestry, Inc. after acquiring Kate Spade and Stuart Weitzman. Coach watches are produced under license by Movado Group, one of the world's leading watch companies, which holds licensing agreements with several fashion brands.
