Swiss ébauche manufacturer known for high-quality movements including the ultra-thin Peseux 7001 hand-wound caliber, absorbed into ETA in 1985.

Fabrique d'Ebauches de Peseux was established in 1923 by Charles Berner in Peseux, Neuchâtel, producing high-quality ébauches including chronometer-grade movements. The company introduced notable calibers like the Peseux 260 for observatory competitions and the ultra-thin hand-wound Peseux 7001 in 1971 (17 jewels, 21,600 bph), which is still produced today as ETA 7001. Peseux was incorporated into Ebauches SA during industry restructuring in 1932-1933 and operated independently under Charles Berner until 1949. By 1970, the company produced approximately 1 million units annually. Peseux was legally dissolved in 1979, with operations shifted to Fabrique d'Horlogerie de Fontainemelon, and was fully consolidated into ETA SA in 1985 as part of the Swatch Group. Ebauche production was moved to Grenchen, with Peseux movements like the 7001 integrated into the ETA lineup. The brand has been revived as FHP 1923 S.A. (Peseux 1923 SA) at the original Peseux location, producing modern high-tech automatic movements.
