DOXA
RevivedSwiss watch manufacturer known for SUB dive watches with distinctive orange dials, developed with Jacques Cousteau.
DOXA was founded in 1889 by Georges Ducommun in Le Locle, Switzerland. The brand gained recognition for innovations including the 8-Day dashboard clock used in Bugatti cars. In 1967, DOXA introduced the SUB 300 dive watch featuring the revolutionary orange dial for underwater visibility and patented no-decompression bezel, developed in partnership with Jacques-Yves Cousteau. The Swiss Army equipped combat divers with DOXA watches from 1968-1975. Production ceased around 1980 during the quartz crisis. The brand was revived in 1997 when the Jenny family acquired DOXA and reintroduced the SUB series in 2002.
