Weiss Watch Company is an American watchmaker dedicated to reviving domestic watchmaking. Founded by WOSTEP-certified master watchmaker Cameron Weiss, the company produces hand-assembled mechanical timepieces in extremely limited quantities. Originally based in Los Angeles, Weiss relocated to Nashville in 2020 and operates from an open atelier—the only space of its kind in the United States—where each watch is finished and assembled by hand at the watchmaker's bench.
Cameron Weiss developed his passion for watchmaking from a young age. After studying at USC, he enrolled in an intensive two-year apprentice-style watchmaking program. He graduated from the Nicolas G. Hayek Watchmaking School with WOSTEP certification and honed his skills at prestigious Swiss houses including Audemars Piguet and Vacheron Constantin, both in the US and Switzerland. In 2013, Cameron and his wife Whitney founded Weiss Watch Company in Los Angeles with a mission to restore prestige to American watchmaking. The company became known for its commitment to domestic manufacturing, initially partnering with Los Angeles machine shops specializing in aerospace and defense parts for case production. In 2020, the Weiss family relocated to Nashville, Tennessee, setting up their workshop in a repurposed record label printing shop in the Wedgewood-Houston neighborhood. Today, Weiss stands as the largest mechanical watchmaking company in the United States, with Cameron personally handcrafting each timepiece in a process that takes a minimum of 60 hours per watch.
