Grana
RevivedSwiss watch brand founded in 1888, known for rare WWW military watches. Revived to produce modern automatics inspired by its heritage.
Grana was a Swiss watch brand founded in 1888 by brothers Adolf and Alfred Kurth in Grenchen, Switzerland. The company produced military watches during World War II, including WWW (Watch, Wrist, Waterproof) watches for the British Army and DH (Deutsches Heer) watches for the German military. Only around 1,500 Grana WWW wristwatches were produced, making them among the rarest of the "Dirty Dozen" and highly prized by collectors. In 1924, the Kurth brothers registered the Certina trademark, which eventually became the primary brand. The Grana name was later revived by Société des Montres West End SA, an independent Swiss watchmaking company with its own workshops in Leytron, Switzerland, which now produces modern Swiss automatic timepieces inspired by the brand's military heritage.
