Venus 178

The Venus Cal. 178 is the tri-compax version of the legendary Cal. 175 family, adding a 12-hour counter at 6:00. A 14 ligne manual-wind column wheel chronograph produced 1947-1960. Features central hours and minutes, central chronograph seconds, small seconds at 9:00, 30-minute counter at 3:00, and 12-hour counter at 6:00. Famous for powering the vintage Breitling Navitimer 806 AOPA. Has Breguet hairspring and 52-degree lift angle. The column wheel mechanism is highly prized by collectors.
