The Venus Cal. 175 is one of the most revered column wheel chronograph movements ever produced. A 14 ligne manual-wind movement with 7-column wheel, introduced 1942 and refined in 1949. Features small seconds at 9:00 and 30/45-minute counter at 3:00. Basis for the Cal. 178 (with hour counter) and rattrapante Cal. 179. After production ended ~1960, the tooling was sold to Tianjin Watch Factory in China, becoming the basis for the Sea-Gull ST19 still produced today. Maurice Lacroix reissued 150 movements as Cal. ML 36 in 2004.
