The most complicated movement in the Valjoux 23/72 family, adding moonphase display to the triple calendar chronograph. Produced from 1947 to 1974. Features 9-column wheel chronograph, day and month windows, central date hand, and moonphase disc co-axial with the 12-hour counter at 6 o'clock. Total of 7 hands and 3 dial windows plus 4 pushers and crown. Approximately 13,218 examples produced - surprisingly more than the simpler Cal. 72C. Used in upscale dress watches from Baume & Mercier, Eberhard & Co., Heuer, Longines, Ulysse Nardin, and Universal Genève. Replaced by Cal. 886 in the 1970s.
