TAG Heuer's Calibre 36 is based on the legendary Zenith El Primero 400, one of the most celebrated automatic chronograph movements ever created. Operating at a high beat frequency of 36,000 vph (5Hz), it enables 1/10th second timing precision with a smooth sweep of the chronograph hand. As a column-wheel chronograph, it offers superior feel and precision compared to cam-operated alternatives. COSC certified as a chronometer. First appeared in the Monaco 24 (2002) and was used in Link, Monza, and Carrera models. Discontinued around 2013 when TAG Heuer moved to in-house movements.
