The Landeron Cal. 348 is a three-register chronograph movement from the Cal. 48 family, featuring a 12-hour counter at 6:00 in addition to the standard 30-minute counter at 3:00 and small seconds at 9:00. Based on the Cal. 248, it represented a significant upgrade as Landeron had never previously offered an hour counter on their cam-switching chronograph movements. The movement retains the 'JI' hammer design and the distinctive Landeron button operation (start at 2:00, stop/reset at 4:00). The related Cal. 349 uses conventional start/stop button operation at 2:00.
